Some people feel closer to God by a river, or in a bluebell wood, or walking along the shore listening to the waves crash in. Some people need movement and conversation to help them process their thoughts. They are looking for the freedom to ask questions and express doubts, and church services don't always provide that.

If you find you church out of doors and would like to share the experience with others you may enjoy PILGRIM WALKS - meeting God in the landscape. Over the summer we hope to meet for an family friendly evening walk, with plenty of opportunity for conversation together and a pause for reflection. The first walk is on the 5th June starting at 7.00pm at the Eskdale Green Station Car Park. We will head up to Blea Tarn and be back by 9.oopm. Please bring waterproofs, drinking water and sensible foot wear.

Whether I pray indoors or out or a bit of both; for me my experience of Church is being with people who share the pilgrimage with me. So, where do you find church?
