Take the A 595 from Whitehaven past Gosforth. Go through Holmrook and continue past the Texaco Garage on the RH side.Take the left turn immediately beyondGarage. This road climbs and turns for 100yrds before becoming straight . 500yds further on there is a left turn with a small wooden signpost sayng “Irton Church”.Take this unsurfaced track  that leads to the church another 500yds away..
